I am building a pond and thinking of adding a filter with a uv light built in. I read on here that a UV light can destroy the liner. Just wondering if this is true?

A pond liner has a guarantee on the sun's uv rays, but not a uv filter. uv rays should stay inside the filter, but if they don't and the uv filter malfunctions, then your liner would be exposed to uv rays. These uv rays could put a hole in the liner. Bottom line is that as long as the uv filter doesnt malfunction you are fine.
