UV Light

Hi guys I'm new to this so I'm not sure what does this do when I turn the switch ON button the canister filter still works but when I switch it OFF it still works so I'm not really sure what that is for and should I just turn it on or off. It's a Sunsun Canister Filter - 303B. Thankyou guys ?

It should be the switch for the UV. I'm not quite sure what you're asking? Do you want the UV sterilizer on or off? Not sure why you'd want it off.

Although a UV light can be run 24/7, the switch is an on/off option.
Some aquarists might only turn it on, if there is a planktonic algae bloom, or...
if a planktonic pathogen such as Ick has been introduced to the tank.
