Any of you guys know how much damage UV - B Light does to the eyes? Its just in an open socket, with nothing around it.
I think the UV B light bulb is 10% or 15% UV B, and as said, just in a and open socket, with nothing around it.

Human eyes or animals? If it travels through glass it filters it out. It can be bad on the eyes of the reptile if it is too close.

I was thinking humas eyes.
If we say it isnt filtered out by glass, but the light bulb is like 1 meter away, will it damage human eyes? And if so, how quickly, and how much?
I've never though about it damaging my turtles eyes, but the lightbulb is maybe like 10cm away from the top of its shell.

10cm is 4" that is far too close in my opinion. I would have it no closer then 10" (25cm) away. Are you using a CFL or the standard long tube florescent? As long as you don't stare at the bulb up close for an extended period of time you are fine. Walking outside without sun glasses is more then likely worse for you.

Its a ExoTerra UVB 10. Bulb. I'll move it to 25cm.
