UV problem

I have a vectron UV,with a Helvar ballast,and the ballast has blown now the 25watt ballast that was in there in no longer available according to the company,The closest I can find is the 30 watt version of the same model of ballast.
What would be the outcome of running a 25 watt T8 UV tube with a 30 watt ballast.

You should not have any trouble
However, I am not an electrician

You are good because the tube is lower watt.

Had a feeling that would be the case but was not sure,I thought there is bound to be someone on MFK who will know

Well as long as they were intentional fire's thats OK,had they been accidental I may have been far more concerned about the advice given

Bulbs can go in ballasts of equal or lesser wattage rating... I think...

You can't do with with metal halide bulbs and ballasts, but you can with regular bulbs. I'd do it at your own discretion. Hopefully, since it is a small difference, 5 watts, you'll be okay...
