uv question

i am setting up a new tank and i am thinking about runnig my uv inline with my canister filter!!!!

i am pretty sure this is too much water flow but i am asking for all your advice!

right now it is on my 220 with a powerhead in the sump. the new tank has the wet dry built into the tank so i would have to have a powerhead in there with a hose going down to the uv and a return hose!! lots of hoses!!!!


need some ideas?

would an ac800 be too big a PH.

i have 2 ac800 iin the wet dry as returns for the wet dry but i could run a hose down and then into one of the returns

new tank is a tenacor with built in filter

I had mine on a powerhead, but like you said, lots of hoses. I put it online with a canister, but the UV is rated enough to handle the flow. Note: anytime that I unplugged the canister I made sure the UV was not on burning with no water flowing.
