What is a good value uv steralizer for a 180 gallon tank? I would prefer to connect it to my fx5. Thanks,
Stephen.

With UV sterilizers, you want to match the flow of your filter to the UV unit itself...

Normally though, you want the water to have longer contact with the UV filter, so its best to use a less powerful filter, and hook it up to an adequately rated filter... and since FX5's have quite strong flow, you will either need a very strong UV, or possibly pick up a smaller filter just to use with the UV unit...

Internal uv with powerhead maybe?

I guess honestly it will depend on which UV you choose, which will determine how much flow your filter will need...

For example, my 40W UV recommended i think anything between 600G - 1000G an hour flow to be effective, so my existing filter was paired up with my UV unit since my filter runs about 800G an hour...

So maybe have a look at whats available around your area, and see if any UV sterilizer could be effectively hooked up to your FX5 with its stronger flow rate?
