UV sterilizer and Fish wounds?

I'm thinking if i should get a UV sterilizer for my 350 Gal tank.
I'm planning to move some arowanas back to my tank .
thinking if it would be benefitial for my arowanas to have a UV sterilizer in place?
also should it be turned on 24 x 7?
I dont have algae problems in my tank though.

If its a true UV sterilizer and not just a clarifier, it will help kill any free floating bacteria etc (both good and bad) from the water...

As long as you have more than one filter (if the UV needs to be connected to one) then it should be okay imo...

At least thats how i used to run mine till it crapped out on me...

^ again, all depends on the reason you are getting one, and if its a true Sterilizer or just a Clarifier...
