I have a friend that is selling off some equipment and one of the items is a UV sterilizer. I use one on my outdoor 1500 Gallon Wakin Goldfish pond, but I've never run one on my indoor aquariums.
Is it possible to use the return line (or supply line) for my Marineland Mag 350's to supply the sterilizer? Any help is greatly appreciated.

awesome. That's what i figured. Thanks for your help.

Went to install the UV light and it has all sorts of issues. Has a slight leak, the bulb looks shot and the power cord has been chewed on... Not too thrilled, but it was free so I can't complain, too much. Anyone know where to find a good deal on a UV sterilizer (I'm all about fixing free stuff, but I think this is a waste of time). Thanks.

I've been using these for a while with no issue:

That is right in the price range I was looking for. How long is the typical bulb life? I know I'm going through a bulb every 8 months on my outdoor pond. Thanks!

Next question... If I was installing this on the return line for the Marineland Mag 350 Pro should I have this directly after the filter and before the "T" fitting for the biowheels, or after the "T".
I do have a HOT Mag that is down for repair that I had thought about using to run the UV sterilizer. The return arm was cracked when i got it and now has finally progressed to the point that I need to replace it instead of continuing to repair the damage. My thought was to buy the return off of a HOT Mag Pro setup and run the line that would go to the biowheel back to the UV can and then make a custom spraybar return. No plans are set in stone, just tossing out some ideas to see what you guys think.

I ended up ordering this UV sterilizer.

@aclockworkorange, what is the typical bulb life you are seeing out of your unit? Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
