I have a 220 gal tank + 50 gal sump. I am planning to put 6 watts UV Sterilizer in my sump. The setup would be.

4 Chamber sump.

The pump is in the last chamber then going to UV Sterilizer then from the UV it will go to trickle filter from the first chamber.

I am wondering if 6 watts of UV is sufficient enough to kill parasites in my 220 gals with slow flow rate?

Thanks

UV is all about exposure
as long as the line is not running moar than 200 gph
you might get some results

So you mean a 6 watts UV with flow rate lower than 200 GPH can kill parasite aswell?

I'm making up the 200gph but yes
if it moves slow enough it will work
you don't need to up the wattage
unless you can't slow the flow

Thanks a lot.. I have a pump that runs 1260gph I will put a T and one for the return to tank and one for return to first chamber with ball valve in it.. I think I can still lower the flow in my 220g and put the rest on the UV in the sump.
