UV Sterilizer Question

I bought a turbo twist 12 and am going to use one of my fx5s on my 240 to power it. Should i put it inline with the intake or output of the fx5?

The out put where after it gets filtered, I hooked my 36watt to my fx5 too

Outlet, you want the water to be filtered before it goes through the light. Also so you won't have any particles that will block the uv lamp which will cause it to be less effective.
