hey guys.. i have these tiny whit dots, or specks i guess in my water, they seem to be concentrated around my HOB filter, is it just dirty? or do i need a uv sterilizer? i sort of remember similar threads like this suggesting that but i couldn't find any. im not too worried about it, everyone seems to be doing fine, im more or less curious as too whats causing it and how to get rid of it... i can try and get pictures, they're most lilkley to be cell phone quality thou..

Sounds like particles in the water. If you want, you can try adding finer mechanical filtration (like filter floss) to your HOB. What size tank and what kind of filters do you have? How long has it been running?
If it's concentrated around your HOB, it could be microbubbles from the filter itself.
I'd start with trying what clock recommended though and see if that works first.

yea you guys are right, its just microbubbles. i watched them super closely and noticed they had a general movement toward the top and once they got there i took a magnifying glass and checked them out. just bubbles aha thanked guys for humoring my stupid question. what are uv sterilizers for anyway on an even stupider note?
