UV sterilizer

picked up a 9w UV sterilizer for my 29
just wondering if this would be the miracle cure to my algae problems?
and if 9w is enough

no idea on the watts but the uv will get any algea floating. you have to take care of what is already there.

It'll kill algae in the water like no ones business. Set it up for a slow flow. don't put 900gph through it lol. But it won't effect algae on glass etc.

9 watts should be plenty how do you plan to hook it up ?

yes the lower wattage the slower rate you want going threw it so it has time to kill it. i'd go with like 30 gph just to be safe. maybe lower. but don't listen to me i have never used one.

A common pleco will cure your algae problem in that small tank.

I bought a cheap 24 watt one at petsmart for my 135. In less then one day it went from
being very cloudy to clear. Lools like my fish are floating in air lol

dang bought it hoping it would get rid of my spot algae and BBA on my plants and glass, its an in tank sterilizer with a 70 gph powerhead attached

that seems like alot of flow for the wattage. can it be adjusted?
