First off, I'd like to say HI to everyone here. I just recently joined after being refered by another member. I've spent the last few days reading over a lot of the posts and must say, you all sound so very knowledgeable, freindly and helpful. I'm sure I will continue to find this to be an awesome place! Now, On to why I am posting..... I have a heated outdoor 550+ gal pond that has been doing quite well until recently. In a nutshell, I've been told that I need to get a UV sterilizer for it and I must agree that it I in fact need one. My problem is two fold... I know very little about them(other than it doesn't seem to matter which one I read about, it always claims to be the best) and I am on a very limited shoestring budget since I happen to be between jobs... 
If any one can give me advice on where to pick up what I need for the very least I have to spend, I and my fish will be forever grateful!! 
If one of you happens to have an extra one that you would/could pass onto me, I would hardly refuse it... LOL
