UV sterilizer

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I love them to death!! I worked in a LFS for awhile and we ran one on every sysytem and since all our tanks were plumped togetherif one tank would get sick it would never transfer from tank to tank as well as it makes you never have green water. When i get back and set up my 220 i have a aqua uv 40watt for it, and most people look at me like i am crazy but its big enough that i can shoot water threw at crazy rates and still kill everything that passes by it: parasites, bacteria, algae , everything.

i agree with the above posted comments.i also have one on each of my tanks,9w on a 75gal and 24w on a 125gal both are green killing machine and a lifegard 25watt on a 210gal.

I love what the UV does for my water. It is crystal clear! I currently use a 9w AquaMedic Helix on my 120g and have a 18w TurboTwist going in on my 210g.

another question about sterilizers do they all have to be connected to a water input tube or can you just attach it to the glass and let it do its thing or what

The only one I know of that operates in the way you're describing is the JBJ submariner.
