I just bought a peice of driftwood and stuck it in my tank right away, well I should have probably tried to wash it with hot water first cuz a bunch of nasty little bugs and critters started crawling out of it. I took it out after about 5 minutes, but I'm worried because I have discus, threadfin rainbows, other fancy crap. Should I go buy a UV steralizer just to be safe? Or are those primarily for algae issues?
