Timmy, looks great. Tell more about your setup as I am looking into these for my tanks. It looks like you have the turbo twister? What wattage are you using for both tanks?
watch out for that vinyl hose. i used it and found that in time it starts closing up and restricts water flow. now i've found the rubber heater hose that's black and i think it works much better for that man. you might want to try that if that vinyl starts kinking on you. 
btw... if you don't already, you're going to LOVE that sterilizer. i installed one at work the other day, and it made a huge difference on a case of green water. now i installed 3 more yesterday just incase something ever happens to any of the other systems. lol. WOOO.

i don't believe it does.
I read that uv sterilizers are safe on cycled established tanks, however they recommend you not to use them on new tanks as they can kill some new forming benefitial bacteria and make the cycle take even longer.
