V. Argentea

I think i saw one at my LFS.. He's only about 5" right now.

I'm pretty sure thats what it was. It sure looks like the ones i've seen on this site.


Are they aggressive? Do they do ok with Oscars, Loisellei and Silver Arows?

They have different personalities, and no one can say whether one would get along with your fish or not. Many people say they are the most aggressive Viejas and one of the most aggressive cichlids. My 10 inch Argentea has always been pretty easy going towards other fish and I have kept many species (cichlids and non-cichlids) with him with no problems.

My argentea is no where near agressive...He used to be, but the older he gets the more mellow he s...They are psycho toward other vieja's I know that for sure....

thanks guys. Hmmm. Well he is pretty small still. But he sure is pretty. He wasnt labeled and didnt have a price. I'll ask the owner tomorrow how much. He'll eventually be in at least a 240 with everyone else.

been having a small one about 2 months, hes only aggresive to my silver dollars. other than that hes pretty docile

my argentea's are around 2".
VERY AGGRESSIVE at a small size.
i gave them a decent sized tank though soo they shouldn't kill eachother.
i have 2!

I have 2 Argenteas in a 250G with lots of other New worlders and have no probs at all!!
