First time shooting with an over head flash. He didn't like it at all and skulked in the corner. Not great, but I'll improve.

EDIT: Frustrating how MFK automatically adjusts the photo size when shot in portrait. Makes it look like crap. Link to the photo is here.

To avoid blur you need a fast shutter speed. Which means you'll probably have to drop the aperture, increase the ISO, add more light, or a combo of all three.

This was taken at 1/60second at f4.8 ISO 100, with one overhead flash.

I'm really not the one to ask about this stuff, I'm just getting my feet wet.

ordered an overhead flash, can't wait for it to get here, nice work by the way.

The picture looks fine on my screen.

Instead of being a nice vertical photo it's all squished in and square.

It gives me a new appreciation for people that shoot with an overhead flash and get much better shots than me.

This fish hates the flash and goes and hides in the corner, periodically freaking out and crashing into things. It would be so much easier if he just sat there in the sweet spot with his fins erect.

Maybe it's the resolution of your monitor, I don't know. Sometimes pictures don't get automatically resized at all for me so I have to refresh the page to avoid scrolling sideways
