I cant find much on this one. Can anyone help? I was hoping to put him in my 75 with a 4 inch Oscar. I know its all depends on the individual fish but do these guys have a rep of being aggressive? How big do they generally get? Thanks

Is that a photo of the actual fish? Looks nothing like any bifasciatus that I've seen. Usumacinta is a river in southeastern Mexico and northwestern Guatemala, so P. bifasciatus "Usumacinta" would then just be a different variant of P. bifasciatus. Treat is the same as P. bifasciatus. Having the proper spelling helps in searching. ;)

Look under Paratheraps bifasciatus or Vieja bifasciatus.

Try posting this over at http://www.cichlidae.info/forum/index.php Juan Miguel Artigas can probably help you out as to if that's actually from Usumacinta.

Oscar probably wouldn't last too long.Nice looking Viega

no thats not the actual fish. thats the pic the site selling them put up, the spelling i also got from there. aggressive is all i need to know. i dont want what ever i put in with my oscar messing with him. i was gonna stay clear of any other cichlid but this guy looked so nice. thanks for the input everyone!
