I am looking to add one or two nice looking cichlids to my 125. Currently it has silver dollars, a couple polypterus and an african pike. I know I want a green terror. When I was at shark aquarium today looking at GT I came a cross to v. regani about five inches. They are pretty good looking fish. I was trying to find adult picture of them online. I found a lot of pictures but no two adults looked remotely similar. Does anyone have an adult picture they can post so I know what this fish may look like? thanks

Here's a pic of an adult female that I have. She's about 8" and 2 years old.

wow both of you great looking fish. Notho is your female very aggressive? It is kind of depressing when you finally get your "big" tank and realize it really isn't that big. I don't know if I can risk something that aggressive in such a tight space.

Thanks. I find that my 'regani' is less aggressive than most of my other Vieja or Parartheraps - - - actually pretty docile. I have her in a 180g with a mix of other CAs (pearsei, bocourti, maculicauda, godmanni, melanurum and a few other odds 'n ends) and she "holds her own". Would be a great "pick-up" IMO.

I gave this one away because it tried to kill everything in a 150 gal (argentea and Madagascans).
The guy I gave it to said it killed red devils and managuense.
I've had others in the past that were wimps

i know what you mean.getting the right mix to work long-term in limited space.i live in essex co.did shark aquarium still have lyonsi? they were small, you could grow some out,i hear they are not super aggressive.a syns/melanurus might be another choice.have you ever been to absolutely fish in clifton? they usually have some uncommon CA/SA cichlids

I have some regani in my 180g also. They're by far the most timid fish in the tank thus far. Then again they're all still rather small :)

Master B that tank would be a dream to me... What are you currently feeding if you dont mind me asking and where did you get all different type of viejas?
