V. Synspilum verification and sexing?

Can anyone give me a positive ID on what I bought as a Synspilum? I'm 99% sure with his red head, but have seen some Bifas that look fairly similar.
Also, any chances of sexing it? I'm thinking male due to it's very quick growth and pointed dorsal.
Any help is appreciated

It's not a synspilum. It's a bifasciatus. As for sex, these guys aren't that easy to sex. The best way would be to vent it.

Yeah its V. Bifasciatus.
Hard to say at that age but signs definatly point to male.

I guess I'm not too surprised to hear he's a Bifa. He has been a bit more aggressive than I expected for a synspilum.
