vacation pictures

I was on vacation last week and my family and I went to a beach in New Jersey. Well I took a picture of a seagull eating this strange looking fish.
It kind of looks like a catfish. I also took a picture of another thing I don't know exactly what it is. Kind of hoping you guys would know what it is lol. There was little white things on it.
Anyway, here are the pictures.
