As some may know, i just got back from Egypt for my vacation...I've had the time of my life. Spent some time underwater, could not resist getting in and amongst the coral reefs...the reef life there is amazing, so vibrant and busy...the underwater pics here are the first batch, 3 more rolls of film going in for developing today, so i will post them up when done...
Did a day excursion out to Luxor...Its one of the places i've always dreamed of visiting..Went to the Valley of the Kings, Karnak Temple and Hatshepsut's temple ( click names to view wikipedia pages )....All three sites were absolutly stunning and remarkable how well some of the hyroglyphics, carvings, monuments and engravings have withstood the test of time...The only place i have no photo's of is Valley of the Kings, and there is a total "No-Photography" ban on the entire site...felt a bit pissed about it as it the place i wanted to photo the most, but, i can understand why they stop you, as the flash photography will degrade the colors etc etc in the tombs...
Visited the tombs of Rameses VII, Rameses IV and Amenmesse..These tombs were remarkable in the how well preserved all the paintings were. The sarcophagus of Rameses VII was absolutly huge...about 10 feet tall, about 8 feet wide and about 14 feet long...All made out of a massive block of solid granite...
Anyways, on to some pics...
Water related shots first..

Photos from Hatshepsut and Karnak and my trip up the River Nile...
