vacation water monitor care

I'm going out of town for 7 days and wanted some advise. I have a 8in WM setup in a 30 gallon tank with about 2 inches of water and a built up land mass. It has all necessary lighting, heating and water filters. My question is, since I don't want the heat bulbs on while I'm gone, will the warm water be good enough for him? Should I feed or not feed him before I leave? I have nobody to trust while I'm gone so I need advise. Thanks

feed him and hook the lights up to a timer, even if they only go on for an hour or two a day. Be sure the water is clean before you leave and he should be fine

A healthy monitor can go for awhile with out food, i think.

why not have a friend or family member check in on him every other day?
