what do u do when u go away?

when i head off to this month-long baby bootcamp next week i think im just gonna have my mom feed them... might have her change the water on the 55g once after two weeks because the bioload on that tank is alot higher than the 200g's

Im concerned about the water changes. With shrimps, i could pre cut them and put it in separate ziplock bags..

oh yeah, you keep rays, that'll be tough. If you weren't keeping rays I'd just eff the water changes unless your tanks are pretty well loaded... really aint hard at all but I still don't really trust my mom to do em without breaking something..

I feel that way about my brother too.. hes not really into keeping fish as i am. With rays, you have to do water changes. I do mine every 3 days. 4 max. They crap like a puppy so you can really see the water quality drop after 2 days.

this is what i do during my 2 week vacation...

water change - none... i got a 24/7 water dripping

feeding - got a print out for what to feed each day... each portion is zip locked and bagged with dates on it...

during these 2 week... all feeding are very light.....

If i had a continous drip system i would be all set.

do you have your own house redtail? you think you got a chance at making that a reality in the forseeable future?
