vacuming substrate

when vacuming substrate should i move the decorations and vacum or just vacum around them im not sure if moving the decorations stresses the fish or not?

If the fish was with u for quite some time, it will not stress the fish. if is a newly moved in arowana, it will. people usually use Black water to de stress the fish if it happen that ur fish dash in fear.
 
It is wise to move decorations at least every other cleaning. You will notice more crap coming from underneath your decos. Water quality will suffer from not moving these. At least has been the case with me.

I think you hit it on the nose....some of the larger decorations can be set on the bottom glass so you won't have to move them.

i get at my gravel once a month
i take out all the fish and decor. i also redo the tank

With the number of tanks I have I let the fish redesign the tanks....You guys with big cichlids know what I mean
 
Plecos and RTC dont mix. i found that out when they pulled the ole houdini act on me
 
I move stuff around though sometimes the fish do it for me.
