vallisneria americana (gigantea?)

I believe the plant is known commonly as jungle val?
I heard this plant is very hardy and can be kept with herbivourus fish ( I have a silver dollar)

I also have cichlids Oscar,dempsey,greenterror.
I was wondering if this plant could stand up to these fish or will it be uprooted and torn up?
I have java ferns attatched to driftwood in the tank that they leave alone and the silver dollar has never tried to even nibble on ( I heard this plant is similar to a java fern in hardyness.)

With those cichlids, even vals don't stand a chance, sorry. Your only best bet are Java ferns and anubias.
