How can I determine the values to apply to the below calculator?
I know some are obvious like number of elbows and ball valves, but what's the horizontal and vertical stuff?

Can't help ya with the head height numbers but there are plenty of members here who just about swear by Kensfish products.

I've used kens fish food. My fish loved the krill pellets and they sink fast so it's great for catfish and bottom dwellers. Although for me I found the staple pellets clouded my water.

The vertical and horizontal runs are the measurements of the length of your piping. Water running through pipes loses flow due to friction.
