Vampire Armatus is aggressively growing...14"...can tankmates continue?

Concerned about one tankmate in particular...my 24" fire eel who is getting nipped at by the vamp. Usually the vampire is well fed but in the past couple of weeks I haven't been feeding it's normal schedule so it's been fed every two days and that's what's causing this. If it's well fed the Armatus doesn't get nippy.

But can this continue? It's getting big fast

Other tankmates:

12" black wolf fish
8" African odoe pike(being rehomed)
Several Bichirs(nobody bothers them)
24" fire eel

I have only kept one to 9" before it was killed by an aro but from what I know from those who have had armatus grow bigger its always a ticking time bomb with most tank mates
