THANKS!! about 8-9" in a 150 currently. I had him in a 210 with Dat's. ray's, frontosa, tig, and A couple of gar's and they were out competing him for food so i moved him to my 150 (ray grow out tank).

I had some large 4.5" angels in the 150 and moved him to it, the next morning 1 angel was dead and another has puncture wounds. I moved the angels and now he is just with small rays. So to make a long story short, with smaller less aggresive fish he is a KING, but with bigger more aggresive fish he gets pushed around a little.

Very interesting, would love to keep one of these someday. Those teeth are just awesome.
 
Where did his scratches come from????
 
Well you cannot see the scratches with your eyes, just when i take the picture with the flash. It must be when i netted him out of the 210 or maybe the gar or something did it before i moved him. He is safe now, i do not think small rays 7"< will be able to get him.. and the rays will be moved soon when they get much bigger.
 
The Gar is the reason I asked. Thought it looked familiar..... LOL

Glad to see you made the wise choice and moved him. Now move him to a tank where he can stretch and he'll be a happy lil fishy.

you think that is from the gar?? i saw the gar trying to steal the food from him.
 
That looks like a gar scratches...

My aro got punked by my tropical one time and the scratches are similar..The armatus won't really care about the rays, now the ray ?...well, I have seen ray stealing food from armatus ;)
