i was at one of the fish stores and saw these "vampire tetras" i seached net for info on them but cant find any anyone have any info on them or latin name? thanks nate

they are Payara. Awesome fish.
I've heard they need a very strong current, are hard to get off of live foods, and rarely reach the 1 foot mark in captivity.
They are also known as sabertooth tetra, sabertooth baracude, and vampire baracuda.
