Vampire tetra

Planning on getting a 3.5 inch vampire tetra, to put w/ my three small dats in my 90. will this set up work?
 
Dats and Vampire tetra get HUGE as well so no in the not so distant future you would need a lot BIGGER tank

Hydrolycus scomberoides doesn't get huge and dats take ages...
 
i dont have personal experience with this species but from everything iv read they get 2ft or more, that's pretty HUGE to me, do they not actually get that big?
 
Hydrolycus scomberoides can reach 4 feet and and the Hydrolycus armatus can reach 2 feet either way I think too large for a 90 gallon.

WRONG.
armatus have been known to get to 3 feet in captivity,4 feet wild.
fishbase is wrong.
scombs are the ones that die around 1 feet for no apparent reason.
ive heard many horror stories of dats plucking out armatus eyeballs.
