Well, I haven't been back to the Vancouver Aquarium for awhile, and my girlfriend have never been there since she wuz like 10 years old! So I decided to wake up early on my day off and take her there!
They got an LCD display with touch screen on almost every single tank now, it'll show you the sound of the critter, mating, how to sex, descriptive information, everything.
There were gigas (for you gigas fans)
RTC, 3 of them, just GIANT
Sharks, living with a giant sea turtle and tons of rays, rays now actually own there little section.
A fresh water section and a salt water section.
The people there have divers to clean and feed daily, not a single dead with or sick fish!
A nice little indoor outdoor kinda type thing, while ur inside the building, it's got trees, ponds, birds flying around with turtle swimming in the pond.
A few malawi cichlid tanks!
A few eels and giant puffers!
But I tell you, those gigas were just HUGE, two of them living together!
a new bat section? WOW!
a small insect section.
crocodiles, just two of them, they live indoors with a few fish swimming bellow.
snake section with apparently 2 anacondas in a huge tank.
a small monkey section
a huge amphibian section with mud puppies, salamanders, newts, and tons of different frogs.
dolphins, one of the picture will show some of the workers feeding them and putting a show on
beluga whale
seals and otters
so all the tanks got like a top section u can look down in the water from above and you can actualy go back downstairs and see the whole inside of the tank!
Well, I live in vancouver, west coast of canada... so they got ALOT of giant salmons in tanks, crabs and all that!
No one have even seen these pictures yet, you guys are the first =) there were 382, all were 1.5MB, so I took an hour of my time now to resize everything so it won't take forever to load, cuz I know if someone's going to enjoy it, u guys would enjoy it the most!
since we all share the same hobby... others might just look at it and say nice... but I bet u guys are just going to stare at it!
Well, if you wanna see more =) let me know, request an animal, i can't resize 382... already did 50! LOL! ENJOY!
