Variants of the Normal Clown Knife

There are, as said, albinos, golds and spotless ones. And millions of spots alternatives.

This is assuming you only refer to CK, and not the other Chitalas....
 
CK with stripes is only possible when very young. They then develop the spots.

Knives with stripes are the Royal Knifes ( Chitala Blanci ).

Knives without stripes or spots are either spotless CK's ( Chitala Chitala ) or Chitala Lopis ( the biggest knifefish ) or Notopterus Chitala ( the smallest Chitala family member).

I would add that Ch Lopis is bronze/silver coloured and Notopterus is very dark.

If you do a search by these names you will find them all....

Something u never seen

Stripe CK may occur in some many dots CK, spots will joint to a line or stripe.
Some Chitala lopis have stripe like royal CK because it very closed species.
More than 90% of chitala lopis adapt color to dark balck in glasss tank or clear water, I have 6 and all of them are dark black.
