Vatf drop off growth rate

For all of you that have kept larger vatf when did you happen to notice there growth rate to really slow down?...

Mine has grown from around 4 inches in sept to about 11 inches now....i was thinking he would really slow down around the 12 inch mark.....

Mine grew from only 12-15 ish in the past year.. Much more girth than length Id say.

My previous VATF (not the current batch) had quite good growth rate. Got him at around 12 inch and it grew to about 17 inches in about 8 month period.

Surprisingly, none of my ATFs are big eaters. They did polished off a pack of 20-30 mid size feeders daily and stopped after that.

A difference from my wolves that will gouge themselves to the seams.

The feeders def had to of helped with the growth.....mine eats 75% mixed pellets and ocasionally shrimp and tilapia

Strange, my wolves barely eat.. I feed cut market shrimp, loaches and feeders. The aimara eats the least... Just always flaring at me when I even enter the room from afar. Meanwhile my ATFs only accept live feeders for the most part unfortunately and will eat until their stomachs are super bloated. Especially the gatf, I've counted 10+ pretty decent sized feeders.. Didn't think he could eat as much as the stingrays but I guess it can. Lol perhaps my vatf is around 16-17" right now but just from eyeballing..I'm not going to take them out for a measurement unless I'm moving them to a massive new tank.

Mine has slowed down a lot and is now ~13". It may have a lot more to do with the divider I put in the tank and 2 big fat gobies stealing his food than anything else though.
