VATF growth rate

What's the average growth rate for a VATF? Mine is about 7" right now

Mine had a slow growth rate. He started growing slower when the width of the tank started to become a bit tight.

Mine went from 4" to 8" in about a year. They were on tilapia chunks and Hikari sticks.

I've never tried tilapia with any of my fish. Where do you get it? And what is the cost like compared to live feeders and frozen foods?

You get it in any supermarket(in the freezer), it's cheaper than live and other frozen food where I live.

rainbow or walmart has the cheapest around us(i am in st. paul). they just have them in bags of individually sealed fillets. i have not tried it with my gatfs but i use it with my gar, aros, catfish, lungfish, pbass...ect. also it is simmilar to shrimp in price if not cheaper.

Mine's from Costco and it's a lot cheaper and more convenient than live.
