VATF Progression

I picked this little guy/gal up 2 months ago today @ appx 2.5". It currently is a solid
3 1/4 -3 1/5 now. Colors and tail have improved immensely.

First 2 are the day I recieved (11-29-10) it followed by two taken today.

nice! i picked up mine at 3" and didnt have any colors at all.. what do you feed him and what size tank do you have him in?

Yeah, mine are pushing the 8" mark and they don't have that much color. I wonder if it has something to do with background color or just the area that they come from.

Its collected from the Congo, he is currently in a 6' x 2' and eats whatever I feed
ray pups. Tilapia, Market Prawn, Night crawlers are the staples. Tank has a basic
black bottom and background.

I gotta similar set up with two Motoro pups and a Vatf in a 365. THe Vatf eats the DIY gelatin mixed food which I make for my rays, and his colors are really showing.

Yep, can't wait for him to put another 6-8 inches on. He will definitely be something if
he is showing this color now.
