VATF tank background

So Im getting a new tank. Im on the fence between white solid background/bottom or solid black background/bottom. Would the black calm my VATF?

No experience other than I can tell you white background looks great on displays but is a nightmare to keep clean. So many specks of algae dont show on black but look horrible on white background

I've tired white and black both. IMO, the fish look infinitely better over black

With black background their stripes become more defined and the red in the fin looks a lot deeper. I don't think the wall color matters as much as the bottom color.
