Hi

Recently bought one of these, now when I first turned the unit on I could have swore that I saw the starter fire up followed by the UV light shining from the inlet and outlet.
I have noticed today though that no light is visible so I turned it off for a while and turned it back on again and the starter didnt appear to fire up either.
I do have a gren light so I know there is power in the unit bought I dont know if the actual UV light is on.
Can anybody shed any light (no pun intended) on this for me.

Thanks.

I'm not familiar with that model myself... so share a link to a picture and hopefully a product description...

UV lights emit UVC rays which is a form of radiation that will cause cancer in human. That's how they kill stuff :P

Therefore the UVC bulb will be secured in such a way that you will never see light emitting from it... but some models are designed so that there is in some way an "indicator light". If this is what you originally say (the indicator light) and you are not seeing it now, then your bulb has likely blown... but not all/many UV's have an indicator light...

Thanks for replying.
I actually took it apart to discover a connector loose that's attached to the lamp.
Anyway the manual stares that the inlet and outlet will glow to indicate that the bulb is on. It's now doing that.
