Hi guys- wanted to get your thoughts on this pump. Im running 400 gallon fresh with sump. Have an older pump pushing roughly 1200gph @160watts/ per hour. The vectra pushs 2000 gph @ 80watts/ per hour.
Do you think Vectra m1 is a good choice? Or should I consider something else? Im really trying to keep the watts used down.

Have they released any head loss charts for those? The older (past couple of years) DC return pumps had really bad head losses and frequently did not meet the expected efficiencies. I would think the vectra should be better though.

Is that from Ecotech? If so my bro uses the higher gph version. He is happy so far with the volume he needs it for and it's very quiet. Only time will tell for long term reliability.

I really don't know about any head loss but I'm sure it will have some.Echotech it seems more for marine tanks if you want different flow options or run it constant-really quiet from videos I've seen
The bigger one L1- I think is 3500/Gph @130watts per hour

Good point, you're buying a capabilities that you may not ever need Ina FW. There's always waveline, Jebao, deep water...I think there's red dragon DC, but I don't know much about them.
