Vegatable Filters

I've been contemplating starting a vegatable filter or planted refrigium for a 150 south american community tank has anyone else done this?

I was just planing something simple like a linking a 30 gallon planted tank to the 150...............Pro's - Con's - Suggestions greatly appreciated Thanks.

Its a great idea. I also have plants in my sump.

Nothing wrong with that at all. Refugiums are never really a bad idea. Only cons are maintaining the plants, but that's a con with having plants in general anyway.
