nice! I haven't had any luck getting cichlids to eat veggies accept for vieja/paratheraps species. My giant gourami eats about a head of lettuce a week though and my plecos love zucchini/cucumber.

Romaine lettuce hearts seem to work best for me. I hope the pearsei won't eat too much and get bloat

my fish wont eat lettuce my plecos are the only ones that eat cucumber when i throw it in

my fish wouldn't touch lettuce or the leafy part of romaine...only romaine hearts...picky!

Romaine lettuce is supposed to be the best nutrution, and iceberg is supposed to be a no no due to some sort of antiherbavore toxin in it ... at least that is what I've read in older books/articles by Dr. Loiselle and Dr. Leibel.
