My male Leo has eaten every single plant I had in my system(which was a lot). After that he then went after some bamboo I had growing and chewed it right down to shreds. Then I put in a few more plants and watched him suck them right off the bottom and eat them whole. None of my other stingrays show any interest in plants. I am thinking about supplementing Nori or lettuce in his diet.
Any one have any experience or suggestions for a leaf eating stingray?:screwy:

It would be nice to hear of others and if I need to supplement his diet.

Remember to "blanche" any plants that normally grow above ground as fish are not designed to break down the cellulose that makes plants stand upright out of water.

I may try some Nori and see if it gets a feeding response. I am guessing the potatoes were cooked.

I feed all of mine with spirulina pellets, and they like it. Also use New Era Algae Pellets and New Era Cichlid African.

Best regards
Ernesto Roa.
