Who all uses vegi clips in their tanks? What do you put in yours. I just use seaweed because my Scat loves it but at work I have used zuchini for the Plecos. What else do you use and what else should I be using? The seaweed gets weak really easily, could I use a lettuce so that it doesn't rip out and float around the tank when they go for it. My tank has a lot of current (since it is brackish) and the seaweed is constantly getting ripped off by the fish and then floats around the tank and they won't touch it.

Try it out? The Vegi Clip has been in the tank since July. I am just curious who else has them and what they put in theirs.

no i meant try out letuce, i knew u obviously were using the clip by the examples u told us about the seaweed!

hmmm, some lettuce wont be anywhere near as nutritional as the seaweed. theres no easy way around it...i use veggies like cuc and zucchini and put a screw in them, to sink it to the bottom

I have brackish, I don't think the screw idea would work. Besides, my scat would try to eat it. He is really dumb. I have had to save him twice for stupid things he has gotten himself into. He got stuck in the heater and he got stuck in a cave.

what about the darker lettuces, such as romaine, collard greens, mustard greens, and dandilion leaves. I am just saying that because that is what I recommend feeding to reptiles.

I used one for one of my salt tanks. I used it for seaweed. My tangs ate it.

Very similar to my scat. He munches on it all the time.

I use spinach; I just put it in a cup of water and pop it in the microwave for like 10 seconds to soften it up. I have found that some of my fish find it easier if I stick the clip to the bottom of the tank so that the food is floating up. For some time I just took off the suction cup and set it on the bottom, the clip provides enough weight to keep it pretty stationary. I buy the spinach salad mixes so I could eat some of it and give my fish some of it. But I have just bought a whole head of spinach before.
