are there completly vegetarian piranha.if there are then where can i get them and what are they called.any info on these is a help.yeah,i know, why would anyone want a vegitarian piranha?my reason is that i dont want my other fish dead.cause i like my other fish, and their fins are cool.iv heard thatsome piranha are vegitarian but still eat fins and scales,i dont want those.

I dont think so. Even pacus need some protein.

i was thinking pacu's also rally!!! feed them soyburger, you can take a meat-eating and convert him to vegan!!!

Even Pygopristis and Pristobrycon will eat some scales, fins, and insects. Best bet would get some nice redhook or banded silver dollars.

My Pacu ate some silversides last night, and they also eat Omega pellets. Not many fish live on a strict vegetarian diet. Most are omnivores.

they are called pacu and i wouldnot buy them, they grow to big and arnt a nice fish to look at, i would just buy some red bellied piranha but you dont have to feed them anything fish likeor meaty even tho this would be bad for them.

There are no vegetarian piranha, but maybe on Planet Endor...lol...The stories of their teeth and the carnage of what a shoal can do is what led me to devote much of my time and space on these species....A big thumbup  to the pygos....

I would say pygopristis denticulata would be the closest thing to a vegitarian piranha:ROFL:

even pacus will eat smaller fish and pieces of fish, and if you bought rbps and didn't feed them you would kill them. so not good advice.
