Hi all,was wondering if I could keep a Veija pair in a 90g 48''x18''.If so,what would you choose.I intend to get a group of 6 juvies and grow 'em out.Thanks.
I had a sick 12 inch Vieja a while ago that I put in a 4 foot hospital tank and I was like damn that tank looks small for the fish. So I can't imagine 2 of them in it, but that's just me.
I agree! I am curently keeping a breeding pair in a 40 breeder and they are great fish.I assume they will out grow it but a 90 would do them for life. Here's a link if You want to check em out
I'm RARELY a "your tank aint big enough" snob... but Viejas are typical CA cichlids... the males tend to kill the females unless there is adequate cover (I had a blackbelt kill his mate in a 7' tank), so 90 is gonna be way tight unless you build a girl's only cave in it.
