i was wondering if any1 could help out.

are veil tailed oscars natural or line bred??

i cant imagine the point of a veil tail in the wild.. surely it would just get its tail shreded by other aggro cichlids??

thanks

Howard

They're a man made creation. Nothing natural about it.

It's pretty obvious just watching them try to swim around. :(

never seen one in person or watched any videos so i havent seen them swim.

why would people do this! whats the point??

nothing really nice about them IMO

thanks for replying!

definitely line bred, main problem with them is that they are slower and much more susceptible to fin nipping than regular oscars, not worth it IMO

id never buy one anyways, justv a query, thanks for replying.

To each his own. They haven't really caught on like other long finned fish even though they have been around awhile.

probably because the long fins detract from what makes oscars a desirable fish to most people who buy them

True, but there are plenty of people who do like them around here. I like them, but wouldn't want one all ragged like many of them out there now.
