Veiny Rays! What does this mean?

Noticed them in some pics! Is it an indication of health? Caused by skinniness or what? Age relation perhaps?

Any ideas?

agreed with the above poast, you can see that ray's pelvic bones (hip bones infront of the tail).....healthy rays are fat at that end and that ray is skinny if it was fed propperly I'd doubt you'd see those lines in it's disc pattern. Don't get me wrong, that ray looks like if it is propperly fed it'll bounce back no problem.
 
So you dont think veins can be viewed due to age? pups to be specific?
 
maybe in pups..... i never really got to examine new borns up close before... but on a fat healthy ray you should not see them.... look at Rook45 ray in his one thread before and after.....
 
My pups have all shown this. It seems to disappear as they grow.
