hey guys i went to the hardware store this morning and picked up a foot of velcro for 2$. i was planning to velcro my lids on my tank to prevent my arowana from potentially jumping out. has anyone ever tried this? i really do not want to come home and see my aro on the floor... please let me know what u guys think... thanks

I'm guessing it would work but that's a risky knowing the legacy that arowanas have for jumping out so I would do it but still have a back up plan like the old fashion and legendary Arowana saver the BRICK

LOL!!

im scared the brick would fall into the tank somehow and brake the bottom as i have a bare bottom tank...

Danny.. hi.. what is your current setup.. can you post a pic, the tank and the lid? what is the lid made of? weighing it down is prob the best option.. the other option is to make the aro feel real secure and calm in your tank.. :)

currently i have versa tops on the tank. so it is just a basic glass lid. that opens up to drop food in and do water changes. nothing fancy very basic and raw... i was going to put velcro on the corners of the tank so it will secure it from and bumps or attempts from jumping out of. i will try to get a pic tonight if possible and post it here...

i do have this one pic but doesnt dhow the tops.
