vendor ratings?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I wish!

MFK doesn't qualify "bad" vendors to sell on this forum.

Everyone has good and bad experiences, which makes a good "rating system" unpractical in this forum where all commercial sellers are pre-approved by the staffs. It's simply not fair to the seller, say for instance, the airlines delayed a flight and the fishes arrived dead at the buyer's hands and the buyer leaves a bad rating.

I'm curious, now, how vendors are pre approved. Never heard of that one before. How can that be done?

What happens when the "bad experiences" add up? There will not be a "record" of these bad experiences adding up, catch my drift?

I don't participate in the approving process, so I can't speak on that. I would say most sellers are long-time members and has been in the business for years. Many of us, like myself, have had previous experiences with them so the word of mouth goes a long way. A little research should tell you some history of the sellers.

Administrators usually gets contacted by those who has had bad experiences and they try their best to fix any issues. Moderator(s) are also assigned to the Buy and Sell forum to keep an eye on all sales threads. There are only so many sellers on this forum that if their name is marked multiple times by multiple members for being a terrible seller, the staffs would know.

Thanks for the info!

i think it would be a good idea for a rating system like that

Ever hear the saying "can't please everyone"??

That's sorta the case with people. Sure you have one bad experiance out of many many good ones and it's written about usually so many people see it. I see both sides to why they're should/should not be a section but many people on this planet are stupidly hard to please so it could do more harm than good. I think as a seller theres always a customer who didn't get the service he wanted even though you tried your hardest.

And it wouldn't really serve a purpose IMO(You think it will in basic form but in the long run it won't really guarentee you have a good experiance with a seller).

I have faith in MFK getting rid of the bad sellers. They've done it before.
